Designer's Order of Needs - Infographic

Final Poster Design.jpg

Prompt: After tracking metrics for an ordinary school day, I was tasked with creating an infographic poster that gave insight into what I do daily as part of my design education.

The Challenge: I interpreted the project through the lens of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, relating the design field as the goal of self-actualization. I have an interest in architecture, so I framed the infographic within a building. The last day before final critique the professor suggested I switch the style to match my passion for history and classical architecture. It was a good suggestion and despite a near sleepless long night of illustrating, I was pleased with the result.

Process: [Left] Prefinal, before style change. [Right] Initial sketch that lead to the design.
